American Spirit M.C. rides to Washington, D.C. for Rolling Thunder 2005

The Southern State police barracks meet-n-greet at the crack of dawn. The bikes are parked and the stomachs are empty, at Cracker Barrel. Let's EAT!! At this point the only solace we had was that somewhere in the world the sun was shining. Ah DC. Kathy P. gets water proofed while Anthiny dons his new invisible rain gear.

And then there was gas. The group lines up outside the hotel ready for a long tour of Virginia and DC en route to the Pentagon parking lot. "I think we go that way." "Oh, there are the directions to the Pentagon parking lot."

Little Kenny finally gets the go ahead from big Kenny to ride. To bad there are 400 bikes in his way. Nice paint job on one of the lead tractors. This dedication coffin memorial is trailered by a motorcycle during the rally. The north lot pf the Pentagon is busting at the seams roughly 10 minute before the official start time.

Waiting for 12:00. Honorary "Badass" dog 2005. Group shot from the Pentagon parking lot with the Pentagon in the background. What Sal doesn't know is that his bike is two rows over.

A fly by to kickoff the start of Rolling Thunder 2005. The group leaves the Pentagon parking lot. The crowds were quite impressive this year. They lined pretty much the entire route. Thank you! Kids line the bridge holding the American Flag as the rally passes by.

For the second year in a row, this Marine stands at the turn onto Constitution Ave... ...making eye contact and saluting every single motorcycle in the rally. Waiting for a parking space to open up for a couple hundred thousand motorcycles proves time consuming. The Capital on the parade route.

A view of the parade from little Kenny's camera. The group rests a moment before moving on to sight seeing in DC. Finally a memorial for the brave men and women of the second World War. Carl at the WWII Memorial with the Washington Monument and Capital in the background and a flag pole growing out of his head.

Joe M. and Gary D. showing a bit of brotherly love or a very strange game of Rock Paper Scissors. Reflection Pool and Lincoln Memorial The rally stage and crowd as viewed from the WWII Memorial. After parking and walking around the rally continued to roll on.

American Spirit Motorcycle Club in DC 2005

We wish to extend our warmest regards and express our appreciation to each and every person who attended this year's Rolling Thunder. You could not help but be emotionally moved by the salutes and the "thanks" offered by the WWII veterans watching the parade. It is all of us who owe them, yet they felt honored by our presence; we will never forget any of those men and women who so noblely served, in times of war and in times of peace, that their Nation would forever persevere.
