Our club was formed by like-minded riders and enthusiasts back in 1993. It rose out of the remnants of the US Vets M.C. and the first version of American Spirit M.C. of which all that remains is the name. With our commitment and determination the club has survived and grown to celebrate its twelfth year. During this time we have become respected members of AMA District 34. We have promoted numerous AMA sanctioned events and raised over $8000 for AMVETS efforts on behalf of the hospitalized veterans at Northport VA and Family Support Groups for our local National Guardsman.

AMERICAN SPIRIT M.C., Inc., is a motorcycle club, dedicated primarily to the cause of all those who legally ride. However singular this may seem, the Membership of American Spirit M.C. is exclusive to motorcyclists and their concerns. This organization is, and will always be, closely aligned with the concepts and guidelines of the American Motorcyclists Association (AMA). Each chapter of American Spirit M.C. will conduct itself in such a manner as to remain a chartered club within the AMA. As such, American Spirit M.C. will maintain a Board Of Directors, who will meet, at a minimum, annually, composed of five members from the founding Long Island Chapter and one elected Board Member from each American Spirit AMA Chartered Chapter, in good standing, separate and distinct from the role of the Club Officers, whose purpose it will be to maintain the original premise on which American Spirit M.C. was founded. A vacated position on the Board of Directors will be filled at the next regular club meeting through an election of the affected Chapter’s general membership. This Constitution, being dedicated to the origins on which American Spirit M.C. was predicated, can never be altered.
